IRELAND’S BIGGEST GAMING AND ESPORTS FESTIVAL RETURNED LAST MONTH FOR A PACKED WEEKEND OF GAMING ENTERTAINMENT.

GamerFest saw almost 5,000 gamers descend on the RDS Dublin for the first live gaming event since the pandemic, enjoying a huge range of gaming content including the latest games, esports, special guest appearances, retro gaming, cosplay and virtual reality.

 

Central to festival was the line-up of esports tournaments delivered in conjunction with Official Esports Partners AOC, which saw players face off in a number of games including FIFA, Rocket League, VALORANT and Rainbow 6 Siege. After a gap of nearly 3 years of live gaming events in Ireland, the anticipation and excitement was palpable within the venue as some of Ireland’s top talent went head to head, along with a number of players that travelled internationally to take participate at GamerFest.

 

In addition to the esports tournaments on show, visitors to the event got to experience cutting edge VR gaming with both Zero Latency VR and HADO attending the event to showcase their latest technology. Participants in the HADO tournament were also in with a chance of being picked for the HADO National Irish Team, which travelled to the south of France for the HADO European Championships.

 

The GamerStore retail stand, meanwhile, had a huge selection of gaming equipment from international brands including Chillblast, Horizon, AOC and EKSA ensuring visitors had the opportunity to upgrade their gaming setup while at the event.

The GamerFest Live Stage had a packed line-up of content all weekend including special guest appearances, gaming challenges, panel discussions and cosplay competitions. Event hosts All Cast Irish Gamers were on hand to keep the audience up to speed on everything happening at the event, while a variety of content creators were able to share their knowledge and career success with the live audience.

For those who were looking to chill out and just play games, GamerFest had a number of collaborations with game publishers including EA Games, Warner Bros, SEGA and GIANTS Software.

 

With the recent news that GamerFest will be returning for a Summer Edition on May 27th & 28th the Irish gaming community won’t have long to wait before reuniting once more.
